Land Clearing Services in Tyler

One operator and one machine for acreage around Tyler: mulching, brush, lots, stumps and fence lines, quoted by the acre or the job.

Land Clearing Services

I clear land in Smith County and the East Texas towns around Tyler, from Lindale and Mineola on the north side down through Whitehouse, Flint and Bullard toward Lake Palestine, and out to Canton, Athens, Jacksonville, Kilgore and Gilmer. This is pine and post oak country with a yaupon and briar understory on sandy, rolling ground, and almost none of it is open when you buy it. Whether you have a five-acre homesite that needs a pad and a driveway opened up, a hundred acres of pasture that has gone back to sweetgum and yaupon, or a fence line you cannot find anymore, the work is the same: get the junk growth off the ground and leave the trees worth keeping. I run a tracked forestry mulcher and the attachments to go with it, so most jobs are one machine, one operator and no pile of debris to burn or haul. You tell me the acreage, what is growing on it and what you want the land to do, and I give you a real price per acre or per job before anything shows up on your property.

One machine, one operator, the whole job

Most land clearing around Tyler does not need a fleet. It needs somebody who knows the ground and shows up with the right machine. I mulch standing brush and small trees in place, drop and grind the trees that have to go, clear fence lines and easements, and open up lots for a build. Because it is one operator from the first walk to the last pass, you are not coordinating three companies and hoping the lot comes out the way you pictured it. The person who quotes your land is the person who clears it.

Built for East Texas pine and yaupon, not open prairie

Smith County is not flat farmland. It is loblolly and shortleaf pine, post oak, sweetgum and water oak with a head-high yaupon thicket underneath, on sandy soil that washes if you strip it bare. That is why mulching is the default here rather than pushing everything into a burn pile with a dozer. A mulcher grinds the understory where it stands and leaves a layer that holds the sand in place through the next gully-washer. Where a lot has to go further than that, I say so, and I tell you where my work ends and a dirt contractor begins.

Straight per-acre pricing from a walk, not a guess

I quote after walking the property, because a tract that looks like light brush from the road can hide a creek bottom full of sweetgum, and a scary-looking thicket can be nothing but yaupon that mulches in an afternoon. Light underbrush under mature pines is one price per acre. Thick second growth with saplings and small trees is another. Big trees, stumps and tight work near structures are priced by the job. You get the number before I start and it does not grow once I am on the land.

Land Clearing: Questions I Hear a Lot

How much does land clearing cost per acre around Tyler?
It depends on what is standing on the acre. Yaupon and light underbrush under mature pines is the cheapest kind of clearing there is, because a mulcher takes it in a pass or two with nothing to haul. Thick second growth with saplings and small trees costs more per acre. Large trees, stumps and tight work around a house are priced by the job rather than the acre. I walk the property and give you the real number before I start.
Do you cover towns outside Tyler?
Yes. I work the ring of towns within about 40 miles of Tyler: Lindale, Whitehouse, Bullard, Flint, Chandler, Mineola, Van, Canton, Athens, Jacksonville, Kilgore and Gilmer, plus the rural ground between them. If you are between those towns on a county road, you are in my area.
My land is solid thicket with no way in. Can you still clear it?
That is most of what I do. I cut my own path in with the mulcher and work from there. The hardest part of a thicket job is usually finding the property corners, so if you have a survey or know where the pins are, that saves us both time.
Will you leave me a mess of stumps and burn piles?
No. Mulching leaves a clean layer of ground-up brush instead of piles, and when a tree has to come down I grind the stump below grade so you can mow or build over it. If you want material hauled off instead of mulched, say so and I price it that way. You will know what the finished ground looks like before I start.
